Protea Digital is a web marketing and strategy firm base in Chapel Hill, N.C. We have clients in the ecommerce, healthcare, travel, education and non-profit sectors. We use smart web marketing to help clients get more from their web presence. Protea is pronounced 'pro-tee-ya'.

A little about our leadership, philosophy and you:

 

Steven Kent, CEO

Steven has seven years experience in web marketing, enterprise software and consulting. Previous experience includes working for an email services start-up, as well as an enterprise software consulting company. Steven holds Masters Degrees from Duke University and from the University of Cape Town. He lives in Carrboro, NC.

We believe in:

Quality in that we strive for high-end design, tangible results and real client value. Communication in that we make it a priority to a) be available for our clients whenever they need us - even if it is late on a Sunday evening and b) we keep you informed about what is happening with your account - what we have been doing and what the results are. Ethics are also important to us. We've turned down three potential clients as we were not comfortable with the way they did business. We also don't do anything shady or questionable on the web.

We also believe in simplicity, not complexity, and clarity, not jargon.

 

Our marketing philosophy is simple: 1) Have a quality product or service that is worth talking about 2) Make it easy for people to find out about and talk about that product.
